DDS Library "helpers"

Hello All,

I am pleased to introduce my capable ‘library helpers’ CJ and Ethan!
With boxes of wonderful new DDS library books arriving each week, CJ and Ethan have been extremely helpful to me as I plow through the happy work of getting those books on our shelves and ready to check out!
Thank you CJ and Ethan!

The week of Oct. 14th – 18th there is a primary grades-oriented Scholastic Book Fair in the library. Scholastic books are available to purchase by anyone. Volunteer Swigert school parents will be available to handle any and all transactions. DDS students will still have access to our regular library collection but space in the library itself will be limited.

Digital Citizenship for our students!

Hello!
On Thursday, October 24th we will have a rewarding day of instruction as to ‘digital citizenship’ presented by Mr. Brian Dino, the North West Regional Digital Coach for Denver Public Schools. All grades will be attending the presentation starting with the sixth grade class and finishing with the eighth graders just before lunch. Classes will rotate through the library about every hour to hear this important and timely information.

Great Library News!

Hello!
This has been a wonderful past two weeks for the Library!

We have been awarded two generous grants for library books and projects.
Also, through an involved, faith-based, local outreach group, we will be providing the students with their own teen-oriented creative writing periodical called Teen Ink!
Teen Ink will not only be available in the library, but classroom sets will be available to our English teachers!

An exciting fall is unfurling for the Denver Discovery Library!
More information on our October and November projects to come!
