Colorcycle!

Hello teachers!

We have started the Crayola Colorcycle project as a bridged recycling endeavor with Swigert Elementary. We are collecting dried out markers and highlighters (any brand) and then in April we will be mailing them to Crayola to recycle in time for Earth Day 2020! Please drop off any and all used markers in the colorful felt basket in the library.

This April marks the 50^th anniversary of Earth Day!

 

Sunday, September 8^th is International Literacy Day.

I have a short, but informative power point, you might like to share with your classes. Let me know via email and I'll send it to you on school email.

Any focused discussion around literacy promotes the concept of literacy … which is always worthwhile. 

Please let me know how the library can help you achieve literacy goals in your individual classrooms as we move forward into fall.
