Letterlocking
This is a fascinating glimpse into an old technique used to seal correspondence.
The New York Times recently had an article about it because of MIT’s efforts to develop technology to ‘read’ a letter Mary, Queen of Scots sent to the King of France In 1587, (hours before her beheading), which was “letterlocked’ for secrecy.
